Floatation Therapy Useful Tips

We find it’s better if you don’t drink coffee for several hours beforehand (it can make your system jittery). Some find that eating a light meal about an hour to 90 minutes ahead of time will stop the stomach from making distracting sounds while you float.

Contact lenses are to be removed so be sure to bring the case. Better if you don’t shave or wax before you float since the Epsom salt water can irritate shaved skin. It’s ok to float if you have a small scrape or cut, we have nonpetroleum jelly to cover them. Anything more than a small scrape will have to heal before you can float.

For persons with recently dyed hair, while there is no guarantee that the Epsom salt won’t strip some color from your hair, we recommend that you check if the water running through your hair in the shower at home is fully clear. If there is still some color coming out you should wait a couple of more days/showers before floating.

Expectant Ladies are welcome to float. An often recommended supplement in pregnancy, magnesium is key to a comfortable, healthy pregnancy. Soaking in Epsom salt is a wonderful way to help lower blood pressure, relax muscles and lower stress. There is also the added benefit of connecting with your baby – some women can even hear the baby’s heart beating. Enter a womb like float tank and connect with your little one on a deeper level.
